About me
Thanh (Minnie) Hoang
I am currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Political Science at Southern Connecticut State University. My research interests span both public and nonprofit management. In nonprofit management, my research focuses on communication, resource mobilization, and community engagement in nonprofit management. In public management, I have a keen interest in human resources, diversity, and inclusion. I hold a PhD from the University of Texas at Dallas and a Master's in Public Management from Victoria University of Wellington in New Zealand.
As a scholar, I am deeply committed to lifelong learning. Each day, I strive to be a better version of myself through continuous learning and training.
As an educator, my primary objective is to inspire my students to explore, think critically about the world around them, and develop practical solutions. I want my students to become more informed, responsible, and compassionate citizens in a rigorous academic environment.
As a practitioner, I value experiences and different perspectives. With prior experience in the nonprofit sector, I am dedicated to addressing real-world challenges through grassroots community engagement and philanthropic endeavors.
