Hello!

I am Thanh (Minnie) Hoang, a lifelong learner, an educator, and a practitioner.

My journey started in Hanoi, Vietnam, where my childhood was filled with excitement from navigating bustling streets, helping my parents in their busy restaurant, and and connecting with people from all walks of life.

I am currently working as an Assistant Professor and MPA coordinator in the Department of Political Science at Southern Connecticut State University (SCSU).

My research interests encompass both public and nonprofit management. In nonprofit management, my research focuses on the vital aspects of communication, resource mobilization, and community engagement. Within public management, I am interested in organizational behaviors, human resources, diversity and inclusion.

I hold a Ph.D. from the University of Texas at Dallas and a Master's in Public Management from Victoria University of Wellington in New Zealand.

As a scholar, I am deeply committed to lifelong learning. Each day, I strive to be a better version of myself through continuous learning and training.

As an educator, my primary objective is to inspire my students to explore, think critically about the world around them, and develop practical solutions. I want my students to become more informed, responsible, and compassionate citizens in a rigorous academic environment.

As a practitioner, I value experiences and different perspectives. With prior experience in the nonprofit sector, I am dedicated to addressing real-world challenges through grassroots community engagement and philanthropic endeavors.

During my free time, I find joy in traveling, cooking, and painting.

Feel free to reach out to me via email; I'm eager to engage in conversations and explore potential collaborations.
